I actually love the longer more in depth format of a review and wished you or other reviewers would do more of this style for more phones and products. I would definitely watch the entire video but I know it has a lot to do with retention rates and view time etc thanks to you tube. Keep up the awesome videos bro.

Taptic engine is such an underrated feature. The iPhone 11 was my first phone and it actually blew my mind when I was scrolling through a selection wheel during setup and it actually felt like I was spinning a clicky mechanical wheel. It’s not like it’s necessarily a major performance boon or anything but it’s just a part of what makes iPhones feel more like a magic box than a pocket computer, so I’m glad that you’d bring something like that up.

I don’t understand people’s gripe with the charger by saying “I have to throw away my old brick and have to buy a new one”. If you have an old brick, you can use the old charger. You don’t need to use the new charger with the new cable. The only people who should have a problem with not including a charger are new smartphone users.

I don't think I've ever thrown away a charging brick. They usually get passed on to someone else that needs one or a spare.

Great video. The one thing Apple screwed up on with the 12 is the default filter calibration on the screen. It has a yellowish hue even when night shift and True Tone are off. I know because I held my XS next to them at Best Buy. Solution: Go to filter settings and change the hue. The reason this doesn’t qualify as a “Gate” is because - amazingly - most people don’t notice.

@Marques Brownlee I have been comparing iPhone 12 series with Samsung S21 series. Till now have not made up my mind. iPhone specs are good. But there are other phones that are having good specs too. I'm not looking for the best camera nor video cause to me a handphone is just to make calls and messaging. That's the reason phones were made, for communication. Most of my phone prices are below 1000. But maybe you had change my perception of getting a iPhone 12.... Maybe. Hope to get one. Thanks again for being selected. Yeah!

£1000 phone, and my iPhone 12pro doesn’t wireless charges and has internet problems until i restart my phone every other day. Apple wont replace it.

Traditional charging has wire. MagSafe also has wire. No obvious reason for Apple to get rid of the charging port here🥶
I've heard of MKBHD before, but I'd never really checked out his stuff before. However, several of my favorite creators like Harris Heller and Peter McKinnon have repeatedly expressed how they've been inspired by Marques. I finally checked out his videos, and ho boy....I get it now. These videos feel perfect. Amazing B-roll, engaging and relevant content, great sound and music, and the subtle camera effects are great to see. I love the smooth zooms, and the fact that Marques can just talk without breaking or cutting every 5 seconds. This is a quintessential SVsoft channel, and a true content creator. Well done sir!

Need more of these I’m a person that cares about the things you discussed in depth. Android is to me by far the most powerful phone however it is hard to leave the Apple eco system. Great intro your best by far honestly bro. I literally come to you before I upgrade and videos like this might help others make a decision that may change the sales results of these companies and ultimately get results from what we ask

TBH I think the leave the notch so big because they use it to differentiate themselves from the market - it is sort of a branding. Note how the old iPhone front with its bezels and home button was instantly recognizable as an icon just because of the shape of the front - same now goes for the iPhone X Style of a Front Design - and really it is pretty smart because ALL the other phones out there Look pretty much the same especially at the front.
Love the long format, and think it works well for this kind of thorough evaluation of something over time. 👍🏻

I got scammed when I try to buy an iPhone X online, since Covid start, it's hard to get out of my house and online is the only way to buy things I desire. Somehow I desire to buy an iPhone X, and I got scammed😭. I have no idea how to tell my family about this, I need to work twice for now at least for 2 months straight to recover my financial. 😢 I just wish I could ask for donation but I don't like to do that because I may have a hard time right now, I believe there's someone out there might really need help more than me. Apple can exclude chargers from the box for the sake of reducing E-waste but at the same time slow down your iPhones to make you purchase a new one. Good going.
